There is something about water; it varies in shape. Ice can easily turn to water, water can turn to vapour and therefore change its form, flowing from a situation to another. My grandmother used to say, "When you have a bad dream, narrow it to flowing water, so it can go down with it and leave". It’s not a coincidence that water is connected with any kind of shape shifting mentality.

Durazzi made it very special for me, with its SS25 collection. Durazzi is known for taking the Italian luxury a step ahead. Taking its inspiration from art, cinema and photography, Durazzi designs for a lifestyle meant to explore the world and its reality. Shapes with cuts that can keep their boldness like ice, shapes that can flow like water, and a spectacle with dance and music that calmed my soul. Keeping the brand’s spirit alive, its new collection has plenty of “capsule” designs interwoven in a cultural story narrated by flowing details. Featuring skirts in a variety of shapes, decorated with fringes, the collection was inspired by a spirit as old as the essence of water. Blazers and coats with high level of tailoring, dedicated to rediscover the DIY culture and the aesthetics of “objet trouvé”, with jackets covered in details reminding the black colour of prehistoric fossils.

The statement was, "How can we coexist with the world and its ancient elements". The answer is, "through art". Art means design, architecture, movement, all combined together. In this presentation, Durazzi achieved a symbiosis of lifestyle and the meaning of the process of regeneration.

Sculptures of ice depicting female bodies "shielding" a frozen microphone and a forest possessed by a meticulous void within a steamy atmosphere were some of the backdrop adornments that helped keeping the pace of this traveling abyss. The total scenery reminded me of an artist workshop renewing forms of life.
